Fundo Sudetia del Sur is a fourth-generation, family-run estate nestled in the central highlands of Peru. Spanning 180 hectares, the farm is built on a deep commitment to sustainability, with 30 hectares preserved as natural forest and all coffee grown under native shade trees. This fully shade-grown system not only protects biodiversity but also allows for slower cherry maturation, resulting in greater complexity, sweetness, and clarity in the cup.
At elevations ranging from 1,000 to 1,750 meters above sea level, the farm benefits from diverse microclimates that contribute to a layered and expressive flavor profile. Careful handpicking, precise fermentation, and meticulous drying ensure consistency and quality in every lot.
Beyond quality, this coffee represents a strong social and environmental ethos. The farm supports over 150 families during harvest season and maintains long-term employment for local workers, while also operating a school and medical center within the community.
With full traceability from harvest to export and rigorous quality control at origin, each lot reflects both the terroir of Villa Rica and the dedication behind its production.
