The Story

This coffee comes from around 850 smallholder farmers who deliver their ripe cherries to the Gigesa Washing Station in Guji. Most farms are about 2.5 hectares in size and grow a mix of coffee, corn, grains, and banana, all shaded by Birbira, Wanza, and Acacia trees.

Grown between 1800 and 1950 meters above sea level, the cooler nights and moderate daytime temperatures help the cherries ripen slowly, bringing out bright, sweet, and delicate flavours that shine in the cup.
