Blend breakdown:
50% Ethiopia, Arsosala - Natural
Arsosala is a washing station founded in 2015 that currently serves about 1,200 smallholder producers in the Urga woreda of Guji. Coffees are picked ripe and depulped the same day, then fermented overnight before being washed clean and dried on raised beds. It typically takes the coffee 8–15 days to dry under sun and 15–20 days to dry when there are cloudy skies.
50% Ethiopia, Worka Chelbesa - Washed
This coffee comes to us from Gedeb, Yirgacheffe in Ethiopia. 486 small holder farmers with farms ranging from 1900m - 2200 meters above sea level deliver their cherries to a washing station owned by Negusse Delba. The coffee is then depulped and pre-soaked for 12-24 hours before being wet fermented for another 24-36 hours. After fermentation the coffee is sun dried on raised beds.
These two coffees blend together really well to showcase some balanced and amazing flavours that Ethiopian coffees can offer. We love this blend on espresso and filter.
