This lot comes from Bekele Gemeda, located in the Worka village of Yirgacheffe. Worka is situated 13 kilometers from Gedeb town, where he manages a coffee farm spanning 6.5 hectares in one area and an additional 3 hectares nearby. As a father of 11, Mr. Gemeda relies entirely on the income generated from his coffee cultivation, which also provides support for his two elder married sons who work alongside him.
Bekele Gemeda expressed immense gratitude for the recognition of his meticulous care in coffee production, which allowed his lot to be kept separate—a notable achievement in Ethiopia. His commitment to quality has not only benefited his family but also highlights the potential of small-scale coffee farming in the region.
